Who We Are
Meet Dr. Anna Vogel Schneider,
DC, MS, CLC
Hi, I’m Anna. A mom of two crazy kids, chiropractor and co-owner of Columbus Spine and Sport Center. I am a lifelong learner, lover of all things movement, and a breastfeeding and pumping enthusiast turned lactation counselor. I am excited about the opportunity to work with your family during this exciting chapter of your life.
My main goals with Functional Feeding Lactation Services are to educate, prepare, and empower you as a woman and a mother. I want you to know that breastfeeding does NOT have to be painful. Returning to work and continuing to breastfeed IS POSSIBLE. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER as you embark on this relationship with your child.
Our Mission
Provide an experience where Mom + Baby can receive the care needed to succeed and thrive in their breastfeeding journey.
What We Do
We observe and assess your nursing patterns and provide evidence-based counselling for your family.
We provide hands-on soft tissue and chiropractic care when needed to improve feeding mechanics.
Pumping techniques and equipment are assessed and addressed to ensure optimal output.
Every parent and baby is different - our personalized plans are catered to you and your family
Every parent and baby is different
We provide an assessment and personalized treatment plan specific to your family’s needs.
What Makes Us Different
Proper function of the tongue, jaw, head, and neck play an important role in feeding success.
We identify and treat movement and function obstacles that impact the experience
ex. latch issues, tongue tie, incorrect jaw and neck mechanics, torticollis, etc.
The parent’s comfort in feeding has a direct correlation to breastfeeding success and longevity.
We assess your nursing and bottle-feeding posture and techniques to avoid common feeding-related complaints
ex. nipple pain, engorgement, mastitis, and other breast issues, neck pain, upper back pain, low back pain associated with feeding and baby care - AKA “parent posture pain.”
These issues are avoidable and treatable with early attention!
Dr. Anna has the unique ability to provide lactation assessments and treat the myofascial and joint restrictions leading to latching issues all in the same appointment!
